Dr. DEEPAK SHARMA
Dr. Deepak Sharma is a dedicated academic and researcher in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering, with a strong commitment to advancing both education and research. He earned his Ph.D. in 2017 from Jaypee University of Engineering & Technology (JUET), Guna, with a specialized research focus on Integral Transforms and their Applications in Image Processing. His academic journey began with a B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication from Indira Gandhi Government Engineering College, Sagar (2003), followed by an M.Tech. in Microwave Engineering from MITS, Gwalior (2006), laying a solid foundation for his expertise in communication systems and signal processing.
With over 16 years of enriched teaching experience, Dr. Sharma has been deeply engaged in shaping the academic growth of both undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has guided numerous B.Tech. and M.Tech. projects and is currently mentoring Ph.D. scholars, reflecting his dedication to nurturing the next generation of engineers and researchers. His teaching style blends conceptual clarity with practical exposure, enabling students to bridge the gap between theory and application.
Dr. Sharma’s research interests encompass a broad spectrum, including Antenna Design, Image Processing, Microwave and Radar Systems, and Mathematical Transforms. His work in these domains demonstrates a balance between theoretical advancements and real-world applicability, particularly in the areas of communication and computational imaging. He has published extensively in reputed international journals and conferences, including SCI-indexed publications, thereby contributing significantly to the global body of knowledge in his field.
Currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) at JUET, Guna, Dr. Sharma continues to actively engage in research, teaching, and academic leadership. Beyond the classroom and laboratory, he contributes to the scholarly community as a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Image Processing, where he plays an important role in advancing research dissemination. His professional affiliations include being a Fellow of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) and a Lifetime Member of the Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA), highlighting his active participation in the academic and scientific community.
