Dr. Jitendra Parmar
Dr. Jitendra Parmar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering with expertise in machine learning and intelligent systems. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Jaipur, where his doctoral research focused on Unseen Class Identification in Open-World Machine Learning. He has published in reputed journals, including SCI-Q1 journals and international conferences, with one of his research papers published in 2023 in a top-ranked journal (Impact Factor: 28.0, ranked 1/147 in Computer Science Theory & Methods)). His research interests include open-world machine learning, text classification, and continual learning.
Dr. Parmar holds an M.Tech. in Software Systems from Samrat Ashok Technological Institute (S.A.T.I.), Vidisha, and a B.E. in Information Technology from R.G.P.V., Bhopal. Before joining JUET Guna, he served as an Assistant Professor at the School of Computing Science Engineering and Artificial Intelligence (SCAI), VIT Bhopal University (2023–2025), and in the Department of Information Technology at Shri G. S. Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS), Indore (2015–2019).
In addition to teaching and research, he has made significant contributions to academic leadership and professional initiatives. He served as Chair of the IEEE Affinity Group at NIT Jaipur, coordinated TEQIP-III programs and industry partnerships at SGSITS Indore, and organized several workshops and technical events. He has also completed certifications in IT, project management, databases, and machine learning, highlighting his commitment to multidisciplinary learning.
In recognition of his contributions, Dr. Parmar received a prestigious research scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Government of India, in 2019. He also serves as a reviewer for leading SCI-Q1 journals and Scopus-indexed conferences. With a strong academic foundation, impactful research, and leadership in professional initiatives, he continues to advance innovation in computer science education and applied machine learning.
