Md Tasnim Arif is a mechanical engineer, academician, and researcher with over 15 years of experience spanning teaching, research, and advanced manufacturing applications. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Jaypee University of Engineering & Technology, Guna, he is also pursuing his PhD in the area of advanced machining of titanium alloys for biomedical applications, reflecting his strong focus on high-performance materials and precision engineering. He holds a Master of Technology in Industrial Metallurgy from IIT Roorkee and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University, supported by a diploma in mechanical engineering. Throughout his academic journey, he has demonstrated consistent excellence and a strong inclination toward research and innovation. Tasnim’s expertise lies in manufacturing processes, material science, electrochemical systems, and process optimization. He has extensive experience in applying statistical and computational techniques such as Design of Experiments (DOE), Taguchi methods, Grey Relational Analysis (GRA), and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to improve process efficiency, reduce variability, and enhance product performance. His work bridges the gap between theoretical research and practical implementation, particularly in energy materials and advanced machining. As a researcher, he has published in reputed international journals, including the Journal of Energy Storage and the Journal of Solid State Electrochemistry. His research contributions focus on sodium-ion conducting polymer electrolytes and nanocomposite materials, addressing challenges in energy storage technologies and electrochemical performance enhancement. In his academic career, Tasnim has taught a wide range of core mechanical engineering subjects such as thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, manufacturing processes, and material science. He has also been actively involved in curriculum development, laboratory setup, student mentoring, and academic administration. Known for his systematic approach and strong communication skills, he effectively collaborates in multidisciplinary environments and contributes to institutional development. Beyond academics, he has participated in and organized workshops, faculty development programs, and technical events, reflecting his commitment to continuous learning and knowledge dissemination. His technical skill set includes MATLAB, AutoCAD, statistical analysis tools, and soft computing techniques. Overall, Tasnim Arif brings a balanced combination of academic rigor, research innovation, and practical engineering insight. His ability to integrate data-driven methodologies with core engineering principles makes him well-suited for roles in advanced manufacturing, research and development, and higher education.
